TO EXPERIENCE INFINITY

What are we up to tonight? First we'll open up and supercharge the pranic channels and then we'll balance the glandular system so the physical body is in perfect equilibrium. When our radiant and physical bodies are working together in harmony, we'll have the magnetic power to pull in what we need and the physical strength to sustain and maintain it.
The meditation we'll be doing is the Yoni Kriya of which Yogi Bhajan said, " Do it normally and within ten to eleven minutes it can change the total glandular system. It is an unbelievably effective meditation and exercise". It's very relaxing and will make you feel GREAT.
Bring a mat, blanket or cushion to sit on, and a donation ($15 recommended). Bring a friend, too! Tea is served afterwards and you are welcome to stay and chat.
You can VISIT THE WEBSITE for information on past classes and teachings and if you RSVP if you ARE coming, it is really appreciated! raghubirkk@gmail.com

WAHE GURU - An expression of the Etheric

ETHER

" If a person has the akasha tattva (the etheric element) predominating, then he will be the happiest, most carefree being in the world. Yet, the operations of the akasha tattva are not perceptible to our sense organs. "-Yogi Bhajan

The ether tattva/element is without form. It connects all of us. Our collective small selves all join as one through the element of ether. It corresponds with the Fifth Chakra which is located in the throat.  The fifth chakra is about speaking the truth, but it also includes the ears and hearing the truth.
Ether is the tattva of the teacher.  When we speak the truth, we bring the subtle vibration of the Shabd into manifestation...  and through the vibration of sound, we bring the truth into our material reality.

"The operations of a particular tattva comprise the entire body-system. There are main centers as well as subsidiary centers of operation. The chief center of operation of the akasha tattva (ether) is the throat—the space between the collar-bone and the nape of the neck. This is the vyama-granthi region of the body, which comprises the following principal glands: thyroid, parathyroid, salivary, and tonsils. The essential secretions of these glands help mold our minds and keep them nourished. In vyama-granthi, sattva guna predominates. For this reason, a person with a supremacy of the vyama-granthi in his body possesses a mind in tune with the Supreme Consciousness. The vyama-granthi of females is much stronger than that of males. Therefore, in a woman we find that endearing qualities such as affection, love, unselfishness, and steadfastness are conspicuously present."-Yogi Bhajan

Chant Wahe Guru. Speak and be the living TRUTH.
WAHE is an expression of awe and ecstacy. GURU is the teacher...that which brings us from darkness into the light. WAHE GURU is the projection of the complete ecstatic awe in the presence of the Divine.  Wahe Guru is a trikutee mantra  which expresses the nature of GOD - the generating, organizing and delivering principles.  In Kundalini Yoga, WAHE GURU is the gurumantra which triggers the divine in YOU.

Tonight at 7, we will dive into the ethers.  Bring a mat, blanket, a friend and a donation ($15 recommended) for an evening of Kundalini yoga and meditation and Gong. For more info visit the website.

Sat nam,
Raghubir

“See the brotherhood of all mankind as the highest order of Yogis; conquer your own mind, and conquer the world. There is one awareness among all created beings. One who recognizes the One Lord among all beings does not talk of ego. All human beings have the light of the Lord and are the same. Only by subduing one’s pride and ego could one see this light in all.”  Guru Nanak

LET'S GET PHYSICAL

THE FIFTH BODY - TONIGHT AT 7 - PHYSICAL BODY

It is such a blessing that we are in a physical body. Many of us take it for granted, but it is a real gift on so many different levels. Each of our physical bodies is different and teaches us the lessons we have to learn. It's a vehicle for our spiritual growth and it enables us to do good deeds to uplift humanity. That being said, why do so many of us abuse our physical bodies and ignore them as if they didn't matter?

Just ask anyone who has had a grave illness and has survived, how precious is the human body. Many individuals who have endured physical hardship and pain know the true gift of the human spirit and even more so, the blessing of the physical body.

According to Yogi Bhajan, (the yogic point of view) to get here in this physical form, you have had to have had at least 8.4 million incarnations. Imagine....8.4 million incarnations equals one light year and in order to be a physical body capable of self-realization, you would have had to travel 100,000 light years. That's a long, long time.

So from a purely practical point of view, its a big deal to be here in the physical body. The physical body is the TEMPLE where all the other bodies play out their parts. One of the big jobs of the physical body is the POWER TO SACRIFICE. Another big job is that it give you the POWER TO TEACH, to uplift. It enables you to take esoteric abstract concepts and break them down for others so that they are understood. Having the POWER TO SACRIFICE means that you use this body in this lifetime to work out your incarnation as well as serving those around you. To sacrifice is also to teach because when you sacrifice, you are going outside of yourself to assist others.

Work out this incarnation....what does this mean? Well, here we have to discuss Karma and Dharma...because with the Fifth Body, you have the strength and discipline to choose Dharma over Karma.

"In Kundalini Yoga we don't worry about the effect, we worry about the cause, because cause has an effect. Effect can never happen without cause; consequences shall never happen without sequence. If a person can be aware enough to know the trend of the sequences, he can control the consequences".- Yogi Bhajan

Karma is almost a household word yet not everybody knows what it means. The Law of Karma means that every action has a reaction and this is an absolute rule of nature. (It is Newton's third law of motion "Every action has a reaction, equal and opposite"). It does not mean "fate".

The idea is not to perform tasks that have a negative effect or backlash. Everything we do or say is a seed planted for the future. Sometimes we inherit the karmic energy of the past and we have to work it out in our incarnation so we can be liberated. If we are slaves to the ego attachments to objects, feelings, and thoughts, then we are biased toward certain behavior. We aim to balance these tendencies through the practice of Kundalini Yoga and the karmas are the conditions required in order to complete these tendencies.

Dharma is the path of life ABOVE the wheel of karma. It is a life aligned with our souls and destiny. It is a life of action without reaction because all actions are aimed toward the Infinate. If Karma is having a balance that you owe, Dharma is having the account cleared. WHEN YOU LIVE A DHARMIC LIFE, YOU ARE POSITIVE AND GRACEFUL AND YOU UPLIFT ALL THOSE AROUND YOU.

Your physical body can teach you a lot. If you experience an emotional stress, maybe you're the kind of person who tightens up your neck. And every time you have a similar emotional stress, even if its just a "hint" of the issue, your neck does the same thing. Your body is signaling you to pay attention to the source of the emotional pain so that you can resolve those issues. Your body is what it is today because it's a representation of all that you are; all your experiences and everything stored in your muscles and nervous system. What you did in the past not only has shaped who you are now but it informs where you are going in the future.

If you find that you are greedy, angry, jealous, competitive, or ungrateful or that you have trouble expressing yourself verbally, then balancing the physical body is your key to happiness and free expression. If you want to create a healthy environment in which your spirit can dwell, then working on the physical body can give you an advantage. If you want to serve humanity, teach and uplift others, then developing the FIFTH BODY will give you the strength and endurance to SACRIFICE and to mentor others.

Tonight's 7:00 pm class will be all about this PHYSICAL BODY. Please bring a mat, a cushion, a blanket or anything else you need to do yoga and relax deeply. If you eat, please eat something light before class as we will be doing a fairly physical set. A powerful PROSPERITY meditation will follow the yoga set as will a deep relaxation with the Gong. Tea served after class and you are all welcome to stay and enjoy the company of like souls. For more information, visit the website. Class by donation only ($15 recommended).

See you later!

VIBRATE THE COSMOS...

VIBRATE THE COSMOS; THE COSMOS WILL CLEAR THE PATH or I'M DIGGING THOSE GOOD VIBRATIONS

This Thursday 12/15, riding the wave of the powerful full moon/lunar eclipse combination last weekend and coming up to the Winter Solstice next week on December 22 (when we will be holding a special WINTER SOLSTICE MEDITATION CELEBRATION) we will delve into the Aquarian Sutra, "Vibrate the Cosmos; the Cosmos will Clear the Path".

What does this 5th sutra mean? Funny enough, it's about the 5th chakra. The power of the 5th chakra can clear the path to a direct relationship with our true self through the sound of our own vibration. Using the shabd guru on a daily basis, aka the universal vibration, assists us in reaching our highest potential.
How do we do this? One way is by chanting; out loud, in a whisper, or silently. When we chant, we change our mental frequency and that changes our emotional response to situations and our environment. When we vibrate with the cosmos, we change the circuitry in our brains as well as stimulate the glandular system to facilitate healing. Yogi Bhajan said that chanting out loud is the voice of humans, chanting in a whisper is the language of lovers, and silently vibrating the sounds is the language of the divine.

Any way you look at it, "vibrating the Cosmos" bring a consciousness to our words and our tone of voice. By choosing what we say and how we say it, we can create a free-flowing enjoyable existence.

The Gong is another tool to vibrate the cosmos. My teacher Harijiwan, who is a master of the Gong, describes this phenomenon:

"Nothing compares to the gong’s ability to create in the human the Divine sound, which allows entry into the state of Anahat, and causes the sound to resound within. Only the gong can produce this combination of space vibrations. It is this productive sound that changes the pattern of the brain neurons for positive purposes. No effort or practice is required to participate. We can not avoid interlocking with the sound of the gong, because we are a byproduct of the wave and the strength of the wave that is called light and sound. It is the sound of Creativity itself. The gong takes us directly into the original sound current, into perpetual sound—out into space, into space, into space. This unlimited sound vibrates and creates light, creates life. The sound of the gong becomes the sound of the Universe."

Please visit Harijiwan's website page for a more in depth discussion about the power of the Gong and how its vibrations cause joy and bliss.

So back to this Thursday night at 7:00...we will experience this bliss through the activation of the 5th chakra, through chanting, and with a long gong meditation. Please come with a blanket, mat, or pillow and bring a friend! All are welcome.
Yogi Tea is served at the end and its a cozy environment for deep connection with our true selves and other like souls. Suggested donation is $15

Sat Nam,
Raghubir Kaur

These 5 Sutras were given by Yogi Bhajan in order to help us navigate through the Aquarian Age.
1. Recognize that the other person is you
2. Understand through compassion or you will misunderstand the times
3. There is a way through every block
4. When the time is on you, start, and the pressure will be off
5. Vibrate the Cosmos, the Cosmos shall clear the path.
